If you are Active Duty (includes National Guard and Reserves), a Veteran, or Qualified Spouse/Dependent, and resident of any county of Illinois or stationed in Illinois, and if you have a civil issue, call the Illinois Armed Forced Legal Assistance Network at 855-452-3526 (855-ILAFLAN), Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. You will speak to an attorney. If your case is appropriate for VetLex, it will be referred to us and we will assist you with locating a potential attorney for your case.

For Veterans in Seeking Help to Apply for VA Disability Benefits

If you are looking for legal help in preparing an application for VA disability benefits (regardless of where you live), click here to fill out an online request for assistance. Your access code is: VETLEX. VetLex will route your request to the ABA Veterans Claims Assistance Network (VCAN), which will work to connect you with a pro bono attorney to assist you in preparing your VA disability claim.
